Shoppers card
It doesn’t matter what grocery store you shop, they all seem to have their Preferred Shopper Club card. The marketing dude or dudette that came up with this one is a fucking genius!! I can just imagine what the conversation must have been like......”Lets mark up everything by 30% but allow savings of 25% when shoppers use our card. We make more money and these idiots think they’re saving money!” And then grocery stores became gas stations and they were at it again…….”Spend $500 a month on groceries and we’ll give you 7 cents off per gallon!” Wow, what does that add up to $1.50 per tank! Thank you so much oh generous grocery store and best friend of the consumer. Kiss my ass! Why not just offer honest savings everyday to everyone. Wouldn’t that build more customer loyalty than having one more damn mini card hanging on a keychain! ibf- Good points all around. Truly aptdacieper.
- I would really ruseeqt you guys to assess the law (or proposed law)more carefully before making half baked comments. Radio Broadcast is clearly being provided the benefit of statutory licensing because the medium is essentially "free to air" and hence perhaps from this perception may claim a degree of protection (or sympathy). On the other hand, commercial TV Broadcasting still retains the benefit of a compulsory license challenge (Section 31 remains)- i.e. it will have to negotiate, be refused or be aggrevied by an unreasonable claim by an copyright owner and have the ability to approach the Copyright Board (something which seems to have worked in the past)on a case by case basis - surely this is fair enough given that commercial TV has a direct relation ship with paying subscribers (as opposed top FM Radio)and hence I would think an enquiry on a case by case basis (of revenue potential, profits etc) would be warranted in the case of commercial TV. Interestingly commercial TV Broadcasters have not been provided the 'benefit' of statutory licensing in many countries. Still see a conspiracy?
- Completely agreed!
