I worked with Zip Realty in August 2010, to purchase my first home and thought they were a great reputable company. After settlement I found out the hard way, they are NOT. They throw an offer of a refund check of 10% of the total of your home when you close. And you’re so excited about buying home and even getting a little back at the end RIGHT???? NOT THE CASE AT ALL!!! Ha... They do not hold true to that commitment. At the end of the day, Zip Realty left me out to dry over $870. They make so much money that my little $870 check would not have been a lost for them. But I was left paying people back because Zip Realty’s FALSE advertisement. I called and emailed everyone I could to try and resolve this matter. Daniel Bernie who was the person that told my real estate agent that I would have my check within seven days. Long story short I DID NOT receive the check in seven days. When I asked Mr. Bernie about the matter he blamed my agent and my underwriter. And could care less if I was a satisfied customer. Not once has Mr. Bernie admitted that he may have spoken out of term. I also emailed Mr. Damon Li (who never responded to my emails) and Mrs. Joan Burke twice. I received an email from her (assistant Meredith Speece about a MONTH Later. The shows how much they care about the clients after they make their money off of you) which was very rude, is because I told them I am going to the local new station to inform people of the shady business they conduct.
Mr. Mike Power's and my agent were the only two people who made phones and tried their best to get this matter resolved. Even with that said I would still not refer this company. If you are planning to buy your first house or purchase another one.. DO NOT USE ZIP REALTY. IBF!
