Alone for Christmas
Yep, that's right. There will be no Christmas for me. All of my family is hundreds of miles away and i don't have the money to go see them. My friends will all be spending it with family.Mark Twain said, "People will be about as happy as they make up their minds to be."
Well, I decided I am going to be happy no matter what. I signed up to volunteer at a few organizations to keep me busy from 12 noon Dec 24 until 2 am. Then, I let the Marion House know that I am available all day December 25th. They called and need help badly. Fewer volunteers on one of their busiest days all year. I will get there at 6 am and work the whole day. Probably come home and sleep! I could sit at home having a poor me day, yet, there are others less fortunate and I can be help to someone.
