"Orphan" - The Movie
For horror movie junkies everywhere, a new movie titled "Orphan" will surely be on your top five list. However, it is currently making waves with adoptive parents and adoption associations everywhere saying that it negatively portrays adoptive children and the relationship that they have with their families.
Hold on, are you fucking kidding me? Do we have nothing better or more important to do in society than tear apart the possible ethical and moral issues associated with a horror flick. Come on people, it is fiction, it is entertainment. It is not supposed to be a documentary on the life of an adoptive family. Warner Bros. has been forced to make several changes to its screenplay due to the public outcry against their film.
It is a classic horror film strategy to use "evil" children. This is not a new concept and if you ask me, highly effective. Scary children... well are.... damn scary. That is the extent of the purpose of this film. To entertain. This is a sad state of our social existence if now we are going to wage war against the film makers for doing what they do best.
- The first half of the school year was great! This was the first year I had tbales since kindergarten, and they are nice to work on. Also the P.E. tournaments are fun, and they make you talk to people who you wouldn't normally talk to. I hope that we have a field trip soon (other than skating), something we could vote on maybe, you could make a list of the places we could go and then let us vote! Overall, this year has been fantastic!!!!!
