Stock Market DOWN.... Weight UP
I am in my mid thirties and have had some difficult times over the last couple of years. Finances have been tight with the fragile and declining economy in addition to many other issues. Amidst the turmoil, I gained 45 pounds. My colleagues are embarrassed, my husband is embarrassed, I think even my kids are embarrassed. Granted, we can all say that they should not be, but reverse the roles, what if that happened to someone you were close with? No one wants that kind of "change" in their life. I hope that something improves so that I can get this weight off fast.
- I just heard this now I liked the recording aelowld me to connect more with you. I completely empathise with the shit you cop when you cant work as a result of mental illness. I struggled with debilitating anxiety for a few years which prevented me from going anywhere, let alone work. I copped it a lot from members of my family you need to pull yourself together and work.. You dont think everyone else has anxiety? Etc but it took me months of coucelling to realise I had the same critic in my head. I realised an important thing u said you wouldnt be like that to someone who had a brain injury or another physical illness. Just because you cant see it doesnt mean its not as debilitating. With that realisation, I finally started giving myself the compassion, understanding and acceptance I so desperately needed.Thank you nick, your attitude and compassion for those with mental illness has and continues to inspire me
- We have a person in our office that has put on a lot of weight. We do not make fun of her because it causes her to eat even more. Its a sad state of affairs when a bad economy causes a nice looking woman to turn into a fattie.
- I hope so too!
