I was just talking to my sister, she makes $11.50 and hour, 40 hours a week. Her husband is an independent contractor ( who's business is very slow right now). They get insurance through her work. Its $400. a month! Fucking ridiculous. My BFF from high school who is going back to school and who's husband is a teacher pays $1200 per month for their family to be insured.....Are you kidding me??? My parents are 64 years old and are not insured, because right now they can't afford it. They are hanging on until Medicare kicks in. I'm not sure what the answer is...I don't like the idea of gov't controlling another thing, but something needs to give...we've all been FUCHED!
