"Networking"
I hate people who try to "network" purely for the sake of networking. You can tell they're just being fake nice, because they ask you the whole long list of the same goddamn s***ty questions as everyone else. "What's your name? What's your major? Where do you live?... blah blah blah?" No. Stop it. I'll tell you my name but I'd rather eat s***ty food than say the same goddamn spiel of "jasper.film.iv.etc.etc."
At least come up with something new and original if you're really trying to meet new people. Hell, the easiest way to bond with people in class is to bag on the professor. Not that it's mature or anything, but it's better than awkward, boring s***.
- Thanks for the sensible ciirtque. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such fantastic information being shared freely out there.
- You're being too picky. Not everyone can socialize as well as others. The fact that they are talking probably mean they do in fact would like to get to know you. :)
