Homophobe Officer...IBF!
The end of Don't Ask Don't Tell might face some bumps along the road to implementation depending on how many officers are like Capt. Owen Honors. Honors, who commands the carrier Enterprise, was caught on film in footage from 2006 and 2007 obtained by the Virginian-Pilot, which describes the videos as showing "sailors parade in drag, use anti-gay slurs, and simulate masturbation and a rectal exam." According to the paper, sailors on the ship provided the videos, which Honors allegedly produced himself with government video equipment, to the paper after repeated internal complaints were brushed off. The Navy is reportedly investigating the videos and said in a statement that "the videos created onboard USS Enterprise in 2006-2007 were not created with the intent to offend anyone," and instead " intended to be humorous skits focusing the crew's attention on specific issues such as port visits, traffic safety, water conservation, ship cleanliness, etc."
